ABWA Medical College Leads the Way: Breast Cancer Awareness Day 2025 Inspires Hope and Healing

In a heartfelt celebration of compassion, courage, and community, the ABWA Hospital & Research Centre – Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology hosted Breast Cancer Awareness Day 2K25, an event dedicated to spreading awareness, empowering voices, and inspiring change.

Organized in proud collaboration with the ABWA Literary & Debating Society (LDS), the ABWA Arts & Media Society (AMS), and the ABWA Apex Society, the seminar brought together medical professionals, students, and advocates under one shared purpose — to promote early detection, education, and support for breast cancer awareness.

“Awareness is not merely knowledge — it is an act of kindness, a promise of hope, and a voice for those unheard.”

Honoring Our Guests of Honor

The event was graced by an esteemed panel of guests, including:
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali Tirmizey, Prof. Dr. Altaf Pervaiz Qasim, Prof. Dr. Tariq Mehmood, Prof. Dr. Ambreen Farrukh, Prof. Dr. Sadia Khan, and Prof. Dr. Robina Ali, whose lifelong dedication to healthcare continues to inspire generations.

Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker – Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tahir Bashir

We were deeply honored to welcome Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tahir Bashir, Head of Oncology, FMU, as the Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker for the occasion. His insightful words beautifully intertwined science with empathy, reminding everyone that “early detection is not just a medical act — it is a message of life, courage, and love.”

Grace and Guidance

The seminar was skillfully moderated by Dr. Ayesha Khalid, whose warm presence guided the event with poise and compassion. Through thoughtful dialogue and engaging discussion, the program became a heartfelt tribute to strength, resilience, and sisterhood — honoring every woman who fights, survives, and continues to inspire.

A Call to Action

Participants and attendees proudly wore pink in solidarity, symbolizing unity and hope. Together, they pledged to continue raising awareness — because when we stand together, we make a difference.

“Let’s wear pink, raise awareness, and stand united — for healing, hope, and humanity.”
