ADMISSION IN ABWA MEDICAL COLLEGE
The Management of Abwa Medical College is pleased to announce the admissions in an undergraduate
medical education program for the session 2023-24.
ADMISSION CRITERIA FOR SESSION 2023-24
A. Eligibility Criteria
Any student seeking admission in undergraduate medical program (MBBS) shall be eligible having
fulfilled the following mandatory criteria;
a) Having passed the Medical & Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) conducted by the
National Medical Authority of Pakistan Medical Commission;
b) Having Passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate qualification (“HSSC”) or an equivalent
12th grade qualification recognized in Pakistan and having obtained more than sixty percent
marks therein,
c) Passed the subjects of biology, chemistry and either physics or mathematics in the examination
of the Higher Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent 12th grade qualification recognized
in Pakistan:
B. Merit Formulation
a) 50% weightage will be given to the marks obtained in MDCAT.
b) 40% weightage will be given to the marks obtained in HSSC/F.Sc or A-Level exams.
c) 10% weightage will be given to the marks obtained SSC or equivalent 10th grade exams.
C. APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION
Applications for admission will be accepted from September 18, 2023. Candidates must apply online
by logging on to admission.abwa.edu.pk
After applying online Candidates are also required to send hard copy of application along with attested
copies of all required documents and photographs and proof of payment of application fee in physical
form via Courier or Pakistan Post on the following address:

In cases where applicants are unable to access the online portal, candidates may request for a paperbased application by emailing at info@abwa.edu.pk along with all required attested documents,
photograph and also sending the same via courier or Pakistan Post as described earlier.
Please note dual submission (Online & Hard Copy) is mandatory. Incomplete applications and
applications without payment of fee will not be considered.
D. APPLICATION FEE & MODE OF PAYMENT
Application fee of rupees 2,000 must be paid before submission of application in designated
Account / bank branch (As described on Fee Challan / Voucher any branch of MCB Bank Ltd across
Pakistan) and upload scanned copy of challan on web portal. Application fee can also be paid via
mobile banking, internet banking, Debit / credit card or ATM and upload screen shot or any proof
of said payment on web portal. However if fee deposited via mobile banking, internet
banking, Debit / credit card or ATM, the proof of said payment along with copy of
generated challan must be emailed to info@abwa.edu.pk and whatsapp on 0301-
8659082.
E. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED TO BE UPLOADED WITH APPLICATION
• Latest Passport size colored photograph.
• CNIC / NICOP / Form B (front & back copy) or relevant Passport pages (for foreign nationals)
• SSC mark sheet / O-Level general certificate / Grade 10 transcript / equivalent
• HSSC mark sheet / A- Level general certificate / High School transcript / IB transcript
/equivalent
• Paid application fee voucher
• Father / guardian CNIC
• Domicile
• MDCAT Certificate
F. SELECTION & ADMISSION OF CANDIDATES
Candidates who will apply to the college and fulfill the eligibility criteria will be considered for
admission strictly in accordance with the described merit criteria.
MERIT LIST
• Merit list of the selected candidates will be displayed on a predetermined date.
• The last date for accepting the admission offer (submission of dues) will be mentioned in the
merit list.
• The submission of dues after the last date will not be accepted for admission.
• Subsequent merit lists will be displayed depending upon vacant seats.
A student when accepting admission to a college shall be under an obligation to disclose to the college
if a prior admission has been accepted by them to any other college, and such student shall prior to
accepting such latter admission must in writing inform the prior college of cancellation of their
acceptance with a copy to the designated email of the Authority. Failure by a student to cancel the
prior acceptance of admission shall render all admission offers of the student as void and the student
shall be ineligible for admission.
