
Traffic Awareness Seminar Held at ABWA Medical College & Hospital, Khurrianwala, Faisalabad
ABWA Medical College & Hospital, Khurrianwala, Faisalabad organized a Traffic Awareness Seminar in collaboration with City Traffic Police Faisalabad to promote responsible driving behavior and road safety awareness among students and faculty members. The seminar aimed to highlight the importance of traffic rules, accident prevention, and the role of educated youth in creating a safer society.
The session was conducted on Saturday, 21st February 2026, at the college campus. The program witnessed active participation from students, faculty members, and administrative staff.
The seminar was honored by the presence of the Chief Guest, Nasir Javed Rana, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Faisalabad. In his address, he emphasized the importance of following traffic laws, observing speed limits, wearing helmets and seatbelts, and respecting road signals. He highlighted that road safety is a shared responsibility and that young professionals, especially medical students, play a vital role in spreading awareness within society. He further stated that preventing road traffic accidents is as important as treating victims, and educational institutions must actively support awareness initiatives.
The Principal of ABWA Medical College, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali Tirmizey, expressed gratitude to the City Traffic Police Faisalabad for conducting the informative session. He appreciated the initiative and reaffirmed the college’s commitment to promoting community welfare alongside academic excellence.
The Medical Director and Chief Operating Officer, Prof. Dr. Altaf Pervez Qasim, emphasized that traffic awareness is directly connected to public health. He stated that future doctors must not only treat injuries but also advocate preventive measures to reduce road accidents.
The Vice Principal, Prof. Dr. Ambreen Farrukh, was also present at the seminar. She appreciated the efforts of City Traffic Police Faisalabad and highlighted the importance of awareness programs for students. She emphasized that responsible driving and adherence to traffic rules are essential for building a safe and disciplined society.
Director Admin & HR, Col. Atif Munir Malik, also attended the seminar and appreciated the collaborative efforts between the college administration and City Traffic Police Faisalabad. He stressed the importance of discipline and responsibility in daily life, especially on the roads.
The Traffic Awareness Seminar concluded with a strong message of responsibility, discipline, and collective effort to ensure safer roads in Faisalabad.
