ABWA Organizes World Diabetes Day Program Focused on Prevention & Early Diagnosis

ABWA Hospital & Research Centre organized an awareness event in connection with World Diabetes Day, focusing on prevention, timely diagnosis, and effective management of diabetes.

Patron-in-Chief Mr. Khurram Ifthikhar opened the session by highlighting ABWA’s ongoing commitment to community health and the importance of regular screening to combat rising diabetes cases.

The event was led by Prof. Dr. Khalid Amin, who delivered key insights on diabetes prevention, long-term complications, and the importance of early intervention. His address emphasized adopting healthier lifestyles and strengthening public awareness efforts.

The program was chaired by Mrs. Faiza Khurram, who appreciated the efforts of the medical team and stressed the need for continued education to reduce the disease burden.

The ceremony was attended by ABWA Medical College Principal Dr. Muhammad Ali Tirmizey, senior faculty members including Prof. Dr. Mahboob Alam, Dr. Tahir Mehmood, Dr. Ayesha Khalid, and other consultants and hospital staff.

The event featured educational talks, free diabetes screening, and counseling sessions for patients and visitors. ABWA reaffirmed its dedication to advancing healthcare through research, medical excellence, and public health initiatives.
