
Department of Medical Education Conducts Workshop on Quality MCQ Generation at ABWA Medical College, Faisalabad
The Department of Medical Education at ABWA Medical College, Faisalabad organized a comprehensive workshop on Quality MCQ Generation and Assessment Workflow Enhancement. The session focused on strengthening cognitive alignment, improving item construction practices, and refining assessment quality processes in line with contemporary standards.
The workshop was led by Dr. Noor-i-Kiran Haris, Head of the Department of Medical Education, who guided participants through modern principles of blueprinting, cognitive level alignment, and structured assessment reform. The session emphasized aligning learning objectives with assessment strategies to ensure validity, reliability, and clinical relevance.
Faculty members actively engaged in hands-on exercises, thoughtfully analyzing item stems, evaluating cognitive domains, and reviewing blueprint alignment. The interactive nature of the workshop allowed participants to move beyond theory into practical application, promoting sustainable improvement in assessment design.
The initiative was conducted under the visionary leadership of Principal Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali Tirmizey, with the continued support of COO Prof. Dr. Altaf Pervez Qasim and Vice Principal Prof. Dr. Ambreen Farrukh, whose encouragement and academic commitment made the session possible.
